1. Who we are

Compare Driving Instructors (“we”, “us”) operates https://www.comparedrivinginstructors.co.uk. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

2. Data we collect

We collect data you provide directly: name, email address, phone number and postcode when you submit an enquiry or register as an instructor. We may also use professional information made publicly available about driving instructors and driving schools to create clearly labelled unclaimed profiles. We collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type) for security purposes.

3. How we use your data

Enquiry data is shared with the instructor or school you contact so they can respond to you. We do not sell personal data to third parties. We may use contact details for service communications and, where permitted, to invite a professional to review, correct, claim or remove an unclaimed listing. Every listing outreach email includes an opt-out link.

4. Data retention

Enquiry records are kept for 12 months then deleted. Instructor and school profile data is kept for as long as the profile is active plus 90 days after deletion.

5. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@comparedrivinginstructors.co.uk.

6. Email engagement reporting

We record when links in listing outreach emails are selected so we can measure whether the invitation is useful and stop unnecessary follow-ups after a claim. We may also use a small image to estimate email opens where this feature is enabled. Open data can be affected by email security tools and is treated as an approximate signal. Recipients can opt out of further listing outreach at any time.

7. Cookies

We use a session cookie for form submissions and a security cookie for admin login. We do not use advertising cookies.
